Laban is speaking to Jacob in Haran, having just tricked him into consummating a marriage with Leah instead of Rachel. Jacob had served seven years for Rachel, and now Laban proposes a fix: complete the seven day wedding feast for Leah, and Rachel will be given as well, in exchange for another seven years of labor.
