Haggai 2:5 meaning and explanation
This is the promise I made to you when you came out of Egypt. And My Spirit remains among you; do not be afraid.”
Haggai 2:5, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Haggai speaks to Zerubbabel the governor, Joshua the high priest and the returned exiles, whose rebuilt temple looked pitiful beside Solomon's. God answers their discouragement by reaching back to the exodus covenant and to his Spirit, who stayed with Israel in the wilderness.
