Explanation preview
Hosea 10:15 closes the chapter with a verdict addressed to Bethel, the site of one of Israel's royal sanctuaries where a golden calf stood. The prophet has just described invasion and siege, and now he names the outcome plainly: the same disaster will come on Bethel because of its great wickedness, and when morning breaks the king of Israel will be cut off completely.
