Hosea 2:9, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

In Hosea 2 the LORD speaks through the prophet to Israel, pictured as an unfaithful wife who credits her lovers, the Baals, for the grain, new wine, wool and linen she enjoys. Verse 9 answers verse 8: because she does not acknowledge that God himself gave these gifts, he will take them back at the very time they are expected.
