Isaiah 33:16, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

Isaiah 33 addresses Judah under threat from a ruthless power, likely Assyria, whose treaty promises have collapsed (verses 7 and 8). In verse 15 the LORD answers the frightened question of verse 14 about who can survive His holy judgment, describing a person who walks righteously, speaks truthfully, refuses extortion and bribes, and turns from violence.
