Isaiah 34:17, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
These closing lines of Isaiah 34 return to the birds and desert creatures named earlier in the chapter. The prophet has promised that ruined Edom will become a home for owls, ravens, jackals and wild goats, and now he says God has measured out that land for them as a portion, using the language of Israel's allotment of Canaan by line and lot.
