Isaiah 49:22, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
In this verse the Lord GOD speaks to Zion, the personified city of Jerusalem, whose people have felt abandoned in exile. The lifted hand and raised banner are signals summoning the nations, and the result is startling: the very peoples who once carried Israel away will now carry her children home, sons in their arms and daughters on their shoulders.
