Isaiah 60:7 meaning and explanation

All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered to you; the rams of Nebaioth will serve you and go up on My altar with acceptance; I will adorn My glorious house.

Isaiah 60:7, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

God speaks through Isaiah to Jerusalem, pictured as a city once left dark and empty but now dawning with His glory. Kedar and Nebaioth were northern Arabian peoples known for flocks and caravans, so their rams arriving at the altar means even distant outsiders will worship at the rebuilt temple, and their offerings will be accepted.
