James 2:22 meaning and explanation
You see that his faith was working with his actions, and his faith was perfected by what he did.
James 2:22, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
James is writing to scattered believers who gathered for worship, and he has just pointed to Abraham offering Isaac (Genesis 22) as proof that faith and action belong together. The Greek word for "working with" (synergei) means cooperating, and "perfected" (eteleiōthē) means brought to completion or maturity.
