Jeremiah 13:21 meaning and explanation
What will you say when He sets over you close allies whom you yourself trained? Will not pangs of anguish grip you, as they do a woman in labor?
Jeremiah 13:21, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Jeremiah speaks these words to Jerusalem and its leaders as Babylon's threat closes in. The "close allies" Judah trained and relied on, probably powers like Egypt or Assyria, will be set over them as masters rather than friends.
