Jeremiah 20:16, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Jeremiah is speaking in verses 14 to 18, a bitter curse on the day of his own birth after Pashhur has him beaten and put in the stocks. In verse 16 he curses the man who carried the news of his birth to his father, wishing him to share the fate of the cities the LORD overthrew without compassion, an allusion to Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 19.
