Jeremiah 4:13 meaning and explanation
Behold, he advances like the clouds, his chariots like the whirlwind. His horses are swifter than eagles. Woe to us, for we are ruined!
Jeremiah 4:13, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
The LORD is speaking through Jeremiah to Judah and Jerusalem as the threatened invasion from the north approaches. The "he" is the enemy commander and his army, pictured as clouds, whirlwind and eagles, images of speed and overwhelming force used elsewhere in the prophets for coming armies.
