Jeremiah 44:28 meaning and explanation
Those who escape the sword will return from Egypt to Judah, few in number, and the whole remnant of Judah who went to dwell in the land of Egypt will know whose word will stand, Mine or theirs!

Jeremiah is speaking to the Jews who fled to Egypt after Jerusalem fell, and in verse 28 he gives the outcome of the coming judgment. Only a few will survive the sword and return to Judah, and that remnant will learn whose word proves true, God's or the people's.
