Job 10:22 meaning and explanation
to a land of utter darkness, of deep shadow and disorder, where even the light is like darkness.”
Job 10:22, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Job is speaking directly to God from the ash heap of his suffering, and verse 22 closes his request in verses 20 and 21 for a little comfort before he dies. The Hebrew piles up images of thick darkness and deep shadow, and the final line says even the light there is like darkness, as though darkness swallowed light itself.
