Job 15:33 meaning and explanation
He will be like a vine stripped of its unripe grapes, like an olive tree that sheds its blossoms.
Job 15:33, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Eliphaz is speaking, the first of Job's friends to answer him, and he is arguing that suffering proves guilt. Here he pictures the wicked man's end with two farming images: a vine whose unripe grapes are shaken off before harvest, and an olive tree that drops its blossoms so no fruit ever sets.
