Job 22:23 meaning and explanation

If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored. If you remove injustice from your tents

Job 22:23, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

Eliphaz is speaking, the third of Job's friends to answer him, and here he presses his case that Job's suffering must be punishment for sin. Verse 23 is his conditional appeal: if Job turns back to the Almighty, God will restore him, and that return must show itself in how he treats those in his household and under his care.
