Job 41:30 meaning and explanation
His undersides are jagged potsherds, spreading out the mud like a threshing sledge.
Job 41:30, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
God is speaking to Job out of the whirlwind, describing Leviathan, the great sea creature no human can master. Here the imagery turns to the beast's underside: sharp broken pieces like potsherds scrape the seabed, and as he drags through the mud he churns it like a threshing sledge, the heavy board farmers used to crush grain.
