Joel 2:10 meaning and explanation
Before them the earth quakes; the heavens tremble. The sun and moon grow dark, and the stars lose their brightness.
Joel 2:10, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Joel pictures the locust plague as an invading army that the LORD has summoned against Judah, and here the imagery widens: creation itself reacts to that army's advance. The earth quakes, the heavens tremble, and the sun, moon and stars go dark.
