Joel 3:15 meaning and explanation
The sun and moon will grow dark, and the stars will no longer shine.
Joel 3:15, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
These words come near the climax of Joel's prophecy, where the LORD summons the nations to the Valley of Jehoshaphat for judgment on the Day of the LORD. The darkening of sun, moon and stars is a standard prophetic image for cosmic upheaval when God draws near to judge and to rescue.
