Joshua 5:2 meaning and explanation
At that time the LORD said to Joshua, “Make flint knives and circumcise the sons of Israel once again.”

The LORD speaks to Joshua just after Israel has crossed the Jordan into Canaan, as the conquest begins. The generation born in the wilderness had never been circumcised, so this command renews the covenant sign given to Abraham.
