Leviticus 20:10 meaning and explanation
If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress must surely be put to death.
Leviticus 20:10, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
God speaks these words to Moses for the Israelites camped at Sinai, forming a people set apart before they enter Canaan. Adultery here means a married woman and a man who is not her husband; the law names both parties equally and assigns both the same penalty, death.
