Leviticus 3:1, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
God gives Moses instructions for Israel at Mount Sinai on the peace offering, called shelamim in Hebrew, from a root meaning wholeness or well-being. Unlike the burnt offering, which was wholly consumed, this offering was shared: part burned, part eaten by priests and worshippers, expressing fellowship with God and others.
