Leviticus 7:19 meaning and explanation

Meat that touches anything unclean must not be eaten; it is to be burned up. As for any other meat, anyone who is ceremonially clean may eat it.

Leviticus 7:19, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

These instructions come from God through Moses to Israel at Sinai, continuing the law of the peace offering. The meat set apart for the fellowship meal could be defiled by contact with anything ceremonially unclean, and such meat had to be burned rather than eaten.
