Luke 11:36 meaning and explanation

So if your whole body is full of light, with no part of it in darkness, you will be radiant, as though a lamp were shining on you.”

Luke 11:36, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

Jesus is still speaking to the crowds about the eye as the lamp of the body, using a household lamp to picture how a person receives and lives in the light. In verse 36 He brings the image to its conclusion: where no part is dark, the whole person becomes radiant, as if a lamp were shining on them.
