Instead, won’t he tell him, ‘Prepare my meal and dress yourself to serve me while I eat and drink; and afterward you may eat and drink’?

Jesus is speaking to his disciples in a parable about a servant returning from plowing or shepherding. In that culture a servant's duty did not end at sunset; the master would expect dinner prepared and service at the table before the servant ate.
