Luke 6:2 meaning and explanation
But some of the Pharisees asked, “Why are you doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”
Luke 6:2, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
The Pharisees are questioning Jesus' disciples, who have been plucking and rubbing grain as they walk through the fields on the Sabbath. Their concern is not theft, which the law allowed for a hungry traveler, but work: rubbing the grain looked like threshing to them.
