Mark 3:26 meaning and explanation

And if Satan is divided and rises against himself, he cannot stand; his end has come.

Mark 3:26, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

Jesus is answering scribes from Jerusalem who said He drove out demons by Beelzebul, the prince of demons. In verses 23 to 26 He turns their charge into a parable: a kingdom or house split against itself collapses, so if Satan is casting out Satan, his own end has come.
