Matthew 12:1, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Jesus is traveling through ripe grainfields on the Sabbath with His disciples, and their hunger leads them to pluck heads of grain and eat as they walk. In the Law, this was allowed: Deuteronomy 23:25 permits eating from a neighbor's standing grain by hand, though not harvesting with a sickle.
