Matthew 13:58 meaning and explanation
And He did not do many miracles there, because of their unbelief.
Matthew 13:58, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Matthew has just described Jesus teaching in the synagogue of his hometown, where the people take offense at him because they know him as the carpenter's son and remember his family (verses 54 to 57). Their familiarity breeds contempt, and their unbelief becomes the reason Matthew gives for the scarcity of miracles there.
