Matthew 26:24 meaning and explanation
The Son of Man will go just as it is written about Him, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed. It would be better for him if he had not been born.”
Matthew 26:24, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Jesus speaks these words at the Passover meal, after announcing that one of the Twelve will betray Him. The Son of Man, His own title for Himself, will go to death exactly as Scripture foretold, so the betrayal does not catch God off guard.
