Matthew 26:25 meaning and explanation
Then Judas, who would betray Him, said, “Surely not I, Rabbi?” Jesus answered, “You have said it yourself.”
Matthew 26:25, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
At the Last Supper, after Jesus has announced that one of the Twelve will betray him, each disciple asks in distress whether it is he. Judas alone addresses Jesus as Rabbi rather than Lord, and Jesus answers with the same words he used to the high priest later in this chapter: you have said it yourself.
