Nehemiah 9:15 meaning and explanation
In their hunger You gave them bread from heaven; in their thirst You brought them water from the rock. You told them to go in and possess the land which You had sworn to give them.
Nehemiah 9:15, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
This verse comes from a prayer the Levites lead after the returned exiles hear the Law read aloud. Recounting Israel's story, they recall the wilderness, where God met real hunger with manna, called bread from heaven, and real thirst with water from the rock, then told the people to enter the land he had sworn to give their fathers.
