Numbers 16:26 meaning and explanation

And he warned the congregation, “Move away now from the tents of these wicked men. Do not touch anything that belongs to them, or you will be swept away because of all their sins.”

Numbers 16:26, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

Moses is speaking to the whole Israelite congregation camped in the wilderness after Korah, Dathan and Abiram rebelled against his leadership and Aaron's priesthood. God has just told Moses to move the people away from the rebels' dwellings, and Moses warns them to separate themselves completely, touching nothing that belongs to these men, so that they will not be swept away in the judgment about to fall.
