Numbers 18:2 meaning and explanation
But bring with you also your brothers from the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father, that they may join you and assist you and your sons before the Tent of the Testimony.
Numbers 18:2, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
The LORD is speaking to Aaron, Israel's high priest, after the rebellion of Korah exposed the danger of unauthorized approach to God's sanctuary. Aaron's family bears responsibility for the sanctuary and priesthood, so God provides help: the wider tribe of Levi, Aaron's own kinsmen, is to join him and assist him and his sons in service before the Tent of the Testimony.
