Numbers 20:16 meaning and explanation
and when we cried out to the LORD, He heard our voice, sent an angel, and brought us out of Egypt. Now look, we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your territory.
Numbers 20:16, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Moses is speaking here, but not to Israel. He sends messengers to the king of Edom, whose people descend from Esau, Jacob's brother, and so he calls Israel "your brother." Recalling the slavery in Egypt, Moses says God heard the people's cry and sent an angel to bring them out.
