Numbers 32:7 meaning and explanation
Why are you discouraging the Israelites from crossing into the land that the LORD has given them?
Numbers 32:7, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Moses is speaking to the Gadites and Reubenites, who have asked to settle east of the Jordan instead of crossing into Canaan with the other tribes. He sees their request as a repeat of the report the spies brought from Kadesh-barnea, which melted the people's courage and kept a whole generation out of the land.
