Philippians 2:9 meaning and explanation
Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name above all names,
Philippians 2:9, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Paul is writing to the Philippian church, and these words follow his account of Christ's self-emptying and obedience to death on a cross. The "therefore" is the hinge: because Jesus humbled Himself, God the Father responds by exalting Him to the highest position and giving Him the name above every name.
