In prosperity I said, “I will never be shaken.”

Psalms 30:6, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

Psalm 30 is a song of David, presented here for the dedication of the temple, in which the speaker thanks God for rescue from grave danger. In verse 6 David looks back on a time of ease and admits the confidence he felt then: “In prosperity I said, ‘I will never be shaken.’” The Hebrew word rendered prosperity suggests ease or quiet security.
