Psalms 32:2 meaning and explanation

Blessed is the man whose iniquity the LORD does not count against him, in whose spirit there is no deceit.

Psalms 32:2, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

David continues the opening beatitude of this psalm, pronouncing blessing on the person whose sin God does not count against him. The Hebrew verb here, chashav, means to reckon or impute, the same accounting language used elsewhere of God crediting righteousness.
