Zechariah 11:9 meaning and explanation
Then I said, “I will no longer shepherd you. Let the dying die, and the perishing perish; and let those who remain devour one another’s flesh.”
Zechariah 11:9, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Zechariah acts out the role of the LORD's shepherd over a flock marked for slaughter, a picture of a people poorly led by their own rulers and shepherds. In verse 9 he abandons that role, handing the flock over to the consequences of its rejection.
