Zechariah 7:6 meaning and explanation

And when you were eating and drinking, were you not doing so simply for yourselves?

Zechariah 7:6, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

In verse 6 God turns the question back on them: their ordinary eating and drinking were no more directed toward him than their fasting had been.
