These words come from the prophet Ahijah to Jeroboam's disguised wife, who had traveled to Shiloh to ask whether her sick son would recover. Jeroboam had been given the northern kingdom but had set up golden calves and led Israel into idolatry, so the prophet's answer is judgment on his house.
