2 Timothy 4:15 meaning and explanation
You too should beware of him, for he has vigorously opposed our message.
2 Timothy 4:15, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Paul, writing from prison near the end of his life, warns Timothy about Alexander the coppersmith, named in the previous verse as someone who did him great harm. The Greek word for "opposed" carries the sense of standing against something face to face, and Paul says Alexander resisted the apostolic message itself, not merely Paul personally.
