Amos 9:14 meaning and explanation
I will restore My people Israel from captivity; they will rebuild and inhabit the ruined cities. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit.
Amos 9:14, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
These words close the book of Amos, where God speaks through the prophet after many chapters of judgment against Israel's injustice and empty worship. The promise pictures returned exiles doing ordinary, settled things: rebuilding ruined cities, planting vineyards, drinking their own wine, and eating fruit from their gardens.
