Amos 9:6 meaning and explanation
He builds His upper rooms in the heavens and founds His vault upon the earth. He summons the waters of the sea and pours them over the face of the earth. The LORD is His name.
Amos 9:6, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
This verse is part of a hymn that interrupts Amos's vision of judgment at the altar. The prophet has just described the Lord touching the earth so that it melts and its people mourn, and the hymn gives the reason: the One who judges is the Creator.
