Daniel 11:40, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
The angel is still speaking to Daniel, unfolding a long prophecy of conflicts between the king of the South, likely the Ptolemaic rulers of Egypt, and the king of the North, the Seleucid rulers of Syria. Here the southern king attacks, but the northern king answers with overwhelming force, chariots, horsemen and many ships, sweeping through countries like a flood.
