Deuteronomy 29:27, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Moses is speaking to the Israelites on the plains of Moab, renewing the covenant before they enter Canaan. In verses 24 to 28 he anticipates a future question from the nations about why the land lies devastated, and he supplies the answer: the people abandoned the LORD for other gods, so His anger burned against the land and every covenant curse recorded in this book came upon it.
