Deuteronomy 31:3 meaning and explanation
The LORD your God Himself will cross over ahead of you. He will destroy these nations before you, and you will dispossess them. Joshua will cross ahead of you, as the LORD has said.

Moses, now a hundred and twenty and told he will not enter the land, speaks to all Israel on the plains of Moab. He assures them the conquest will not depend on him: the LORD their God will cross over ahead of them, and Joshua, already designated as leader, will go before them as the LORD has said.
