Ecclesiastes 3:22 meaning and explanation
I have seen that there is nothing better for a man than to enjoy his work, because that is his lot. For who can bring him to see what will come after him?
Ecclesiastes 3:22, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
The Teacher has just compared human and animal death and found them outwardly alike, and he concludes that since no one can see beyond the grave, the good available now is to enjoy one's work. The Hebrew cheleq means a share or allotted portion, the same word used of the Levites' inheritance in God.
