Ezekiel 36:18 meaning and explanation
So I poured out My wrath upon them because of the blood they had shed on the land, and because they had defiled it with their idols.
Ezekiel 36:18, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
God speaks through Ezekiel to the exiles in Babylon, explaining why Jerusalem fell and the people were scattered. The land itself had been polluted: the people shed innocent blood in it and filled it with idols, so God's wrath came as covenant judgment, not arbitrary anger.
